I want (12) T8 light fixtures. Each with (2) 32w bulbs. Which would be 768 total watts. Using a 110 volts, I would draw 6.9 amps. So I could wire all the lights on one 15A or 20A breaker, right?

Yeah, Einstein, you're ready for higher level math next year....:lol_hitti

you cant go off the lamp wattage, you have to look at the ballast and see how many amps it draws.

Most of us that work in the electrical fields have had various forms of that "circle" or "triangle" etc etc pounded into our head for ages. All of the equations are collectively referred to as Ohm's Law equations.

Not so fast there Ohm Boy..........

Elroy actually had the pleasure of dealing with an idiot once who claimed that ohm's law was the equation that contained "ohms" and that the other equations were "watts law" and "Amps law" :shocking:

Believe it. True story

The thing that is really "shocking" about it (no pun intended) is that *** wipe was the Engineering Manager for a major electrical equipment manufacturer.

Elroy told me this was a prime example of; it's not what you know, it's who you know. Rumor was, Einstein's daughter was doing the President of the company. :hitit:

The circle:

Please find something of importance to argue about.

When I hear "Ohm's Law", I also only think of V=IR. You're right that it's not worth arguing about equation nomenclature, but it can cause confusion.

Never saw that equation circle before, I'll have to take a closer look later on, thanks!

OK, just wanted to make sure I was in the clear on how many lights I can use. I didn't realize I could not use the lamp wattage as required power. I will go by the ballast rating.

My Ugly's is a 93 version...

I think it will be OK tho.

I have some of those old circles and triangles from back in the 60's and 70's. Way back from B4 I could even spell Engineer. :)

Right now I have got to get something to eat. My sugar levels are hitting bottom.......................................
