Good evening.
I hope everybody is doing well.
I have a vintage Red Rover by Blackhawk. While in the distant future I will consider paying somebody to sandblast it, straighten couple of dents and possibly powdercoat it in original color, at this point I am consider to change the wheels. I do not want to change original casters. The wheels were sitting on the same spot for a while, black rubber deteriorated and a couple of them is not straight anymore. The size is approximately 2.5" in diameter and 1 3/8" wide (sorry, I did not take them off and disassembled, thus do not know the inner hole for bolt diameter)
Can somebody educate me on the preferred material for replacement (there are a lot of types I see - polyurithane, rubber, neoprene, etc). I would prefer to keep them black if possible. The box will mostly stay on the same spot either on the wooden or possibly cement floor (I keep my tools close to the heating system as the air is dry)?
Where do you buy those wheels (I saw them on web sites in a lot of places: from Lowes to Grainger, etc...)?
I would greatly appreciate some pointers!
Thank you
