Good evening

Please educated me about Greenerd Arbor Press #1. It is rated up to 250kg.
I have a lead on one in poor condition for $20. It need sanding and a complete repaint. Most likely will need a new handle and missing the bottom plate (sorry, not sure what they are called properly)

- is it good enough for opening Jacob and other chucks?
- how much a handle and a bottom plate might cost?
- what could a small arbor press like this be used in the automotive repairs? (I am slowly collecting tools in order to pick up a project in couple of years once my kid is a little older)
-what would you pay for one?

Please feel free to share pictures of your Greenerd #1 - if I end up buying it, I will need some inspiration for restoration

Thanks!

Great one! Probably too expensive as an employee though...

Thank you Woody - asked administrators to correct the name of the thread.... just too tired to spell it at the end of the day (got it in the post though : )

Greenerd is one of the quality American makers. Yes it's worth $20.

A plate would probably be expensive from them. You can use other metal pieces easy enough.

New handle is easy. Just make it.
