This is an impact wrench I picked up today from from Craigslist. The guy selling inherited a garage from his uncle and was making an apartment out of it. Long story short he sold a bunch of SnapOn and Bluepoint air wrenches , air ratchets and die grinders cheap. They ranged from brand new to locked up. The only one that was not a name brand was this one. ( I hope the pics get attached). It looks like it had decals that fell off from the key places. It runs fine so I do not need parts, just curious. The two odd things about it are a Brass trigger and ring on the rear and it is made in Japan. One pics shows the red plastic guard attached and others without. You can barely see the "Japan" because somebody has put their name over it. Any clues? Thanks in advance

Joe

I own one and sold another with the MAC branding on them. They are EXCELLENT little 3/8" impacts. Chicago Pneumatic made them for MAC, IIRC.

I have the same w/ astro pneumatic label on back and astro citation round sticker on the side.
It works good,no problems, but I have no idea how old it is.

Yeah,

There are so many that look the same with a little variation here or there. I am sure there is an oem company that farms out to the name brands. I have just never seen a brass trigger and banding. Thanks for the info everybody. This was my first post and it worked out good.

CP was importing them from a Japan, and it would more than likely be a manufacturer of airtools called Kuken. That particular model is no longer made.

I know a guy who's been using his (rebranded version) for a couple decades professionally and it hasn't given him any issues.
