Im tired of the countless hours of researching on a compressor, Im on a modest budget and a 2 stage was way out of my price range. I was sold on the PUMA 6060V. Then came across the Harbor Freight US General 5HP 2 stage, then I was thinking for 300 more why not. But realized the PUMA is a V style pump and the US General is inline. I prefer a V style. I will be doing mostly mechanical work auto repairs so i will be using impacts, air ratchets, whizz wheel will be probably my most air demanding tool. Not a body guy and no sand blasting here..So what do you guys think??
Please help me make a decision!!

A Pmech, I have spent countless hours on CL too surfing and looking, Ive looked at 2 in person, one was a Puma 80 gallon but it didnt appeared taken care of and owner admitted to only adding oil, had never changed it. The second was a Industrial Gold which was really a nice compressor and really cheap, they go for alot more, but it had been rode hard , used in a concrete business , just dont have a good feeling about buying a used one i guess

It was Campbell Hausfeld 60 gal 5 HP for only $200 . . . . yep screaming deal and virtually new according to CL ad. It was in Knoxville, TN so you'd have to ACT QUICKLY so you can get 1st dibbs and arrange pickup. Maybe a fellow GJer there could have heard in run in person for you before committing the money.
Deals are out there . . . you just have to pound CL all across the country. I'd use Google to search:

My old compressor bit the dust, I had to replace it quick and bought the US General 5hp. I have had it 3 weeks now and am quite pleased with it. The reviews for it were very positive.Caught it on sale for $749.00
The pump unit is cast iron and made in Italy, the tank made in Virginia the motor not sure and assembled in South Carolina.
