Well I finally made up my mind on getting regular Diamond instead of TuffShield. Plan on combining graphite and royal blue. Debating checkerboard pattern and whether to get 12" or 18" tile. I'm also wondering if anyone finds the checkerboard pattern annoying when looking for dropped parts or whether it's too busy and makes the garage look smaller. Also wondering if XL tiles are too large for my size garage. My main area is 17'6" x 16'9" and then I have a curb that is 17'6" x 2'10". Here are some pics of possible patterns. Thank you.

James

Not sure how to just show the pics in the body intead of as attachments

What the designs don't show you is that when you look at a finished ribbed floor, it looks like checkers within each color.

IMHO given the size of your garage a border and solid center color would be less busy. Alternatively I would do the 2x2 squares. I am also a fan of alloy over white.

If I checkerboard it would be with the graphite and royal blue rather than black and white.

OK, the center section of that floor is one color. But it looks like two. The inset border is obviously another color. Its the coolest thing honestly. Our floor here we did a small section of the graphite and the alloy and depending on how you are looking at it the alloy and graphite can look almost the same in spots.

Do you have other pics of that layout?

I have a 20x20 garage and choose the 12" tiles. I think the 18's are too big for your space. No issues finding anything on the floor with a checkerboard.
