Been looking at pole barn kits locally. Best bet looks like Carter Lumber (S.E. Michigan) with a 24x40 or 24x32 in the $6000-$7000 range(package cost).
Lately, I found www.pennypincherbarns.com which I have now learned are a risky company to deal with. Darn!!! Because they have some unbelievable designs. My favorite is the first one on their home page.
They say that their prices are really a lot lower than other kit companies. I would be most interested in using their plans and buying locally.
I also placed an ad on craigslist for someone to biuld a barn for me (I have since decided that I will build it myself). One guy wrote and said that if he purchases the kit for me it may cost nearly 1/2 as much as if I buy it myself. Can a contractor really get such discounts?
Money is my whole sticking point. If I could have one like on pennypinchers.com I would happily settle for a 24x32 or 30x32.
I am asking for any ideas that will help me have the barn of my dreams for the budget of my other dreams.
