I must say that it is mighty noble of you doing something like this. I hope (reality check here) it works out well andyou don't get royally screwed over by letting someone use it and them taking advantage of you.

I'm no accountant, but I think you can give up to $13k per person per year with no taxes due. So for a family of 4 spread over 2012 and 2013, this would be $104K.
Very noble gesture by the way. With all the theft and violence committed these days, this thread is a breath of fresh air. My neighbor is very involved with the local Rotary club, this is what he posted on Facebook earlier today. I would be happy to put you two in touch.
"If you want to help out victims of Sandy you can drop off unopened food, first aid, clothes (esp: underwear), cleaning products, wipes & dipes at my office today or take it right to the Merion Fire Company in Ardmore. My Rotary club sent one truck to Tom's River Tuesday and another one tonight."

I know of at least one member here that has had damage during the storm, don't know how bad. Maybe he would be interested or knows of one of his neighbors that could benefit from your very kind gesture.

Check with your local United Methodist church. The United Methodist Comittee on Relief is often the first organization in a disaster area and Volunteers In Mission groups will come in after the situation i stable and work in an area as long as there's a need.
