Please recommend a 5hp Horizontal Air Compressor

Hey guys, im looking to pull the trigger on a new compressor. Ive been shopping around for a while and know some of the options out there but recently decided I wanted a Horizontal 60-80 gallon tank, 5-7hp style. So heres the list of wants and needs.

Use: general shop use
Location: covered, possibly temp controlled outside storage in Denver CO
Need:
Electric Motor, NO GAS NO 3PH (I have 220v/30amp)
Horizontal 60-80 gallon tank
5-10hp (probably closer to 5)
Under $2000 maybe closer to $1500 shipped

Wants:
2 Stage motor
Mag starter
American made
Site glass
Auto drain
Free delivery

Can anybody recommend a quality unit? Champion only seems to make gas and very heavy duty in horizontal configs. Same with Quincy, Kellog, Gardner-Denver, etc....
And yes, ive scoured Craigslist for months now. I know there will always be deals out there but I have the ability to buy new so thats what im looking for suggestion wise.

Your google-foo must be perty poor. If you go to the manufactures sites you will find most all make units that meet your requirements Quincy here has listings. One thing you have to realize is that a 30a circuit will not feed much more than 5hp. Once you find the compressor that meets your needs then take that information to the vendors and have them order it for you.

Both the Saylor-Bell and NAPA units look great. True the SB is out of my budget, maybe I can find a refurb or older model?
My "Google Foo" is ok, but what you linked me to was simply a listing of possible configurations. Not actual units for sale. Ive looked for Quincys that meet my specs and see nothing that is ready to order. 30-45 day lead times and full blown factory prices doesnt seem like the way to go larry g?
Eatons seem to be a affordable NON USA made choice, ive heard good things.

Can anybody ramble off a list of manufactures that qualify that have not been mentioned?

+1 on Eaton. Mine has given me tons of trouble free use. It just chugs a long. Nice, quiet and slow.

Some parts (not sure which ones) of Eaton compressors are made in the usa. The final assembly happens near Dayton, Ohio.

I love my 7-1/2 hp Eaton. It runs slow and quiet while putting out more air than I will probably ever need. It was a tough decision, I really wanted to by a USA model, but I don't regret it.

Since you live in Denver then you must check out a Gardner Denver. I live in Estes Park and have my 7-1/2 horse out side under my deck and never had issues since buying it in 1999. Even in below 0 weather it fires up. A little pricey but a really great compressor.

HA! I thought the same thing but after researching it, seems only the name (Gardner-Denver) is related. They dont have any corporate offices here and dont see any real roots of them here ie shops/stores/dealers offering their products.
If you have any info that suggest otherwise I would love to support a "local" company and possibly get a deal.

Well maybe that was a assumption I made back when I bought mine. I thought they was made here. The Gardner Denver's are very industrial. Tomorrow I will try to find my receipt and send you a PM with the location where I looked at several different models. Roller auction has sold plenty because they get my attention when I see one listed.
