please tell me about this bench vises

please apologize for my bad english, hi everyone, yesterday just bought bench vises and some other pliers. The bench vises says "chas parker" its all brand new and seems in original paint colour. in another hand "proto" branded pliers i never thought Proto company its parts of Ingersoll Rand corp. i payed 3 of them for 100 Us$ so please tell me about "chas Parker" bench vise story and " Proto" company. thanks before.

That’s a pretty desirable vise. C. Parker is one of the many now defunct US vise manufacturers.

Proto is owned by Stanley black and decker and is a very high quality Industrial US tool company.

Hello! You've got a beautiful Chas Parker no. 434-1/2 bench vise. Please look at the attachments to help you understand your vise better.

It's possible that it's an unused WWII issued vise, based on the color, condition and location. It would have originally come from an American or Australian army.

Please find the story of where this vise came from and why it's never been used. I can give you more information of it's USD value when I get that information.

hi, thanks you very much for the help, i realy appreciated for the info:bowdown::bowdown:. yeah think i was luckly enough found these bench vise. For the price its wothed in every penny IMHO;)and its not like cheap crapy made in china:lol:

RX: so you found a 70+ year old Parker bench vise in new condition with it's pipe jaws and wrench that are usually missing. WOW what a find.

also Proto is one of our better tool companies and looks like you got some older ones of those too.

you did well for the pittance (little bit of cash money) you paid for them and thanks for sharing the pictures
