Throwing this out there because ive read so many negative threads about Snap on's warranty. First off im a heavy weekend wrencher and I have purchased alot of Snap On tools from various dealers when I run into them. Not to long ago I purchased a TF72 flex-head off a dealer that was in the area, needless to say the the pin let loose that connects the head to the bar and broke one of the connecting points on the bar leaving the tool useless. Since i was unfamiliar with the dealer I purchased the tool from I contacted snap on directly and they sent me a replacement with NO QUESTIONS asked, the new one arrived two days later and they told me to scrap the old one. This was the first time I have ever tried getting a replacement from Snap-On, I was worried since I do not have a personal dealer that I might be in trouble, I was indeed impressed!!

Nothing Wrong with Snap on's customer service, They get a A+. Ive dealt with them a few times and they have never balked on anything. There may be some Dealers that give guys a hard time on warranty work but ive never heard a bad thing about there customer service.

Nice to know, like I say I have never tried to have anything replaced with all the horror stories that ive read I wasnt sure what to expect. The real problem I thought I might have to face was proof of being the original purchaser but they didnt question me at all.

Snap on seems to be a good target for the negative attitudes. I only see that on here and not with customers on the truck. The only negative comments I get are when something is on backorder. thats about it.

some can go some cant... the ratchet with the screw through the joint will swap with any other that has a screw. if it has the pin, I am not sure if the hole diameters were the same or not....
flf80 will swap with flf936 etc

Snap-on is great to deal with. They emailed me a prepaid UPS label to send my broken tools back and sent replacements right away. A+ tools and A+ service in my book.

Another possitive story;
I'm not in the auto repair industry but having a farm to maintain and building some cars, I'm probably more active than a "weekend warrior". I needed 2 sets of slides and a bunch of detents for my '89 KRA660. Got the name of a local SO dealer and called him cold. The guy didn't have to do anything for me but "Joe" was real nice. Said no problem, I'll order one pair, we'll make sure they fit and then I'll order another. A Week later he gave me a call. Had the slide and we set up a time/ place to meet (his route doesn't get closer than 40 minutes from me).

Result; my box is in tip top shape and he's got a new customer.

Want to sell it?

That's because you're a good dealer. If you were a **** dealer and kicked up a fuss about warranty you'd hear about it. I imagine that your customers are happy with you and don't want to offend you by complaining about other dealers. It may sound like they're saying "you're all the same" or something.

When I first told them I had broken the ratchet they offered to send a reair kit for free until I described what had happened then they offered to replace the entire unit, maybe it all depends on who you talk to :headscrat
