Hi,
I posted an intro earlier today, but it hasn't been approved by a mod yet. Long time lurker.
Anyway, this weekend I bought a 2007 model Payne 3.5 ton AHU for my 1200 ft2 insulated shop (poll barn, 10' ceiling). As of last night, it's wired in with 6 guage thhn to a 150 amp panel. I'm at the stage of needing to create a plenum. I'd like to eventually add a/c as it has a good a-coil, and ductwork. For now will I be safe making a really basic plenum out of plywood to direct the air some other direction other than straight up? Any other simple plenum suggestion.
Also, my friend mentioned the CPVC and PVC ductwork systems that are being used in mobile homes these days. Does anyone have experience with it?
Thanks in advance.
