Can you imagine the torque spec theyd use if the axle bolt was triple square? Youd need number 5 spline drive tools to torque it LOL.

I actually like xzn/triple square. So much better than torx or hex. I'd prefer a normal 6 point bolt, but I'll take what I can get.

Knocking our German triple square are you!!! Then try Toyota's double hex head bolts on for fun. Try locating one of those on a Saturday afternoon.
Only in jest...
We specialize in Euro cars here and there is this perception they're so tough to work on which is a million miles from the truth.
They're extremely simple BUT...they do have some unique fasteners not every Tom, **** and Harry has tools for.

For someone who’s not a mechanic, any make can be a challenge. But with some makes, the frequency of fixing is greater than others… 😉

I want these - Snap On 196ANCF. However, they’re almost $80 with tax and shipping. Not much cheaper on Ebay. Are there any other places I can get these from at a more reasonable price?

Oh you better believe it.
We get at least one Chevy Cruze in every week it seems. (Not the same one)
As example

It seems like its most newer GM cars have issues. Although, Id love to have a CT-5V Blackwing…

I had a 2009 BMW 335d and it was all mechanical. The best car I’ve ever owned. Zero issues. Diesel engine was great. But VW’s are another beast; prone to rust within a few years, turbo-wastegate breaking, electrical issues…
