"Below is a link to the best nose pliers on earth:"

Ummmm yeah, and you came to that conclusion how exactly? Easiest to polish:thumbup:

I've actually used them quite a bit, some of my tools lay there and collect dust, but I'm always grabbing these nose pliers for stuff around the house.

They have long handles to start with, a lot pliers have short handles and are uncomfortable to hold, but these are extremely comfortable for my larger than average sized hands.

They seem to be manufactured to tight exacting tolerances - the joints are tight and the teeth mesh with each other perfectly. I can't really say enough about them. :)

I'm really curious to what they actually manufacture and what is rebaged, their site has an extensive amount of tools and very few people have heard of them, makes me thing a lot of stuff is rebaged. I know it all isnt because some of their pliers I have never seen and I am a plier snob. Hopefully Danaher don't get their paws on them.

I'm thinking they're the ones that re-badge for other companies. :D

Edit: After browsing their whole site, I've come to the conclusion that KAL Tools manufacture the pliers themselves and do private label pliers for other companies like MAC, and then in return, other companies do private labels for KAL Tool's other line of hard line tools .... a re-badge swapping frenzy if you will. :D

Does anyone know if Knipex warranties broken nippers?

I have a pretty old pair (like over 25 years old and have "Made in W. Germany" stamped on them which tells you something) of nippers that I can't even look up the model number on the Knipex website. They are concrete nipper style, about 9" and the cutting edge has broken.

Can I just send them in or exchange them somewhere for a new pair? By the way, I love these nippers......it's the only pair I've ever needed or was partial to using.

Yes I was......and I have not abused them. I still use them as well and they still work, just not as effectively.

I'd suggest you contact Knipex directly by telephone, they'll either give you a location of a local distributor where you could hand them into, or they'll ask you to ship them directly to them.

Yes, knipex warranties them.

I would avoid KAL. Once they discontinue a tool, they tell you to piss off on warranty replacement or refund.

If I remember correctly, you turned around and bought a whole bunch of 2 inch Snap-on crows feet off eBay, kept one and sold the rest to your co-workers in the hanger bay for $60 each and made a killing!! KAL Tools did you a huge favor!! :twak:

*shrug* Not my fault they're an underhanded slime ball company that won't honor the warranty they offer. Lifetime warranty means to me:

1. If you quit the product, you replace it with the next closest tool offered.

If that doesn't exist, then:

2. You give a refund on the purchase price of said tool.

Saying "Sorry, we canceled that line, have no replacements, and will not give any monetary refunds." is not a lifetime warranty.

They more than likely never made the crows feet themselves, some other company probably made it for them. I think KAL only makes pliers. You're punishing yourself for no damn good reason.

That probably happened a long time ago and some receptionist manning the phones that day didn't know what else to say. You should try their pliers ... I'm absolutely curtain you'd like the MAC P92S nose pliers.

Anglo American Enterprises is the exclusive U.S. distribution agent of Knipex. You might want to ask them.

Here is a link from their site to a document that has the Knipex warranty guidelines.
