I own one and wouldn't sell it for $100 that I paid for it even if it does have a newer proto rebuild kit in mine. Do you have any broken teeth? Any pics of yours to post? thanks for posting catalog page.

Cato: i use mine on a few vises i own. Some guys use them to work on their trucks, bulldozers, and other big machines.

Bier: it was the name of proto prior to a lawsuit because there is also a hammer/axe company with that name. Some people like me call the company plvmb because that's what their names say on their great old tools.

omg! Thank you for that info not log. You would not how many times I,ve seen the plomb symbol and never realized what it was. I was trained by my dad in the early 60's and 70's about mechanical work and he never mentioned this topic. Or at least he never told me.he was a tank mech. In the army in the late 40's . Now I have to go look at all his old tools and see what i,ve overlooked . Probably wasn't,t a big deal to him? I,ll let you know what I find. Again thanks for the edificacation!

Suddenly, my 30-inch long Mac 3/4 ratchet is sadly inadequate.
(that thing has NEVER let me down. If I can't get a fastener off, no matter what or where, I bring out Thor and it busts it loose.)
