Plomb, Bonney, Pexto

Picked these up this weekend at a garage sale and flee market.
My wife made the deal on the Pexto Pliers, the I found the WF at a flea
market then picked up a curved wrench and didn't notice is was a
Bonney till I got home.

Thanks Garage Journal for forcing me to pick up these little treasures
and know what I'm holding.

Plomb WF-8 Ratchet 1/4 Drive (I think)
Bonney 7/16x3/8 Curved Wrench
Pexto Pliers

I couldn't find alot on the Pexto Pliers but I'm a sucker for cool Pliers.
I got the Plomb and Bonney soley based on the direction of the GJ.

Cool! I've often wondered why you don't see or hear more about Bonney wrenches. I've got several open ended ones that were my Dads. My Dad who served as an Engineer's mate in the engine room on a Liberty Ship during WW-II said that they used Bonney wrenches. I aways thought they were very well made IMHO.

Nice. I have a few Pexto pliers, and they seem very, very nice. Nobody else seems to want them, though...

I have a fair amount of Pexto stuff; I got into Pexto Via the Sheet metal tools I've collected, and discovered the did make other tools in the old days. Always good quality I've found. I've never seen a set of slip joints however...

So Does anyone have a guess as to a manufacture date on any of these?
I read some on the WF-8 for the Govenment around WWII but thoise were 9/32? Right?

Your Plomb is a Wright Field contract tool at it is 9/32" drive as it is only a WF-8. They 1/4" drive were very rare and were WF-8 S ratchets.

The cool thing about the Plomb WF-8 ratchets is the marking on some of the shanks/handles. The arrow/plumb bob to the left of the "PLVMB" brand points down, echoing the "V" in the mfgr's name, which is typical on all other Plomb tools, catalogs, boxes, etc, but the arrow/plumb bob to the right of the mfgr's name is pointing up. (Usually they both point down.) As far as I know, this juxtaposition is not seen on any other Plomb tools, WF or commercial. I see that both yours point down, though... Not sure there's an explanation.
