Plvmb, Cornwell Offset Box wrenches, USA: Maybe Vintage?

Been wanting to but together a standard set of Offset Box Wrenches and thought I'd hit the flee market over the weekend.

Picked up 2 Cornwell BW series, 1 Mac BHL and 1 Plvmb 8185. I notice the Mac and the 2 Cornwells look almost identical, coincidence??

Were the Cornwells manufactured in Ohio? I hope these hold up OK for the back yard Mechanic.

Not sure if these would be considered Vintage but wanted to give the older USA tools a try, Paid $9.00 for the lot.

Thanks,

Yeah, I would say you did pretty well at that price :) I have the whole plvmb set except for the plvmb wrench you have pictured and love them! They feel great in your hand and I find myself reaching for them more than a standard combo or offset wrench. I can't speak to the cornwell stuff but it is probably safe to assume it is quality but not on the same level as the plvmb :) Can't see a date stamp on the plvmb but looks to be from mid to late 40's.

Thanks Smokes,
How many wrenches are in your Plvmb set?
I'm not sure if they were chrome plated originally or what type of finish they had.

Cheers,
