Plomb, Snap On, Mac... Mystery Tools...

I recently bought my first home which prompted me to buy a small rolling toolbox (which I posted about last week). I have a box of random tools from when my grandfather passed away a few years ago.. and I am trying to clean out the stuff I can't imagine myself using.

I know what some of these are called, but have no idea when I would ever have a use for them... Some I have no clue as to what they are used for... So, If anyone see's an item they would like to have or something that may help you fill in a set, or go nicely in a collection, please let me know. Maybe we can make a trade for a tool I could see myself using someday I won't ask for much, as I am not trying to profit from my grandfathers passing... but maybe you have a use for one of the items?

I also have some large wrenches... a handful over 1"... JET wrenches, MAC wrenches, about 10-15 Proto wrenches, Random Cornwell, Williams, Snap On and MAC sockets... I would benefit more from a simple and complete set of wrenches or sockets of a lesser brand... rather than random and specialty tools of a better brand.

I can provide more photos for anyone who may be interested.

starting from the right :
Plumbing wrench for getting at fittings like behind a sink
Next two are yankee screw drivers, push the handle in and the bit turns
two middle top are ratcheting adapters for going on a breaker bar
below them is a puller, maybe steering wheel
bottom left is for pulling a bearing off a shaft
top left are for toquing hard to reach nuts and bolts. There was a recent thread with similar tools

You should hold on to those. My advice is never sell tools. Even if you only might use it one time, it is worth keeping.

The plumbing wrench is called a basin wrench. It is used for faucet nuts from under and behind a sink. I once had a serious need for one of those working on a car surprisingly enough.

As for the Yankee screwdrivers, you select which way you want the screw to turn, put the bit in the head, and push the handle down.

The ratcheting adaptors (Snap-on spelling) are great for using with a torque wrench that doesn't ratchet; e.g. beam style.

The puller that might be for a steering wheel is missing its arms. You probably can buy arms. I actually had to buy arms to use with my puller for a GM wheel.

Regarding the two wrenches at top left with 90* ends, do they look 'factory'?

I cleaned out the writing on the 2 curved wrenches.. looks like they are Snap On cylinder head wrenches. They are definitely factory... not bent. Kinda fun looking at some of these things!
