Wait you have Plomb boards!?Those "walls O Steel" look great! I don't have enough open wall space to even hang the 2 boards I have...

Plomb Wall Update:
Thanks to a fellow collector I was able to add 14 new wrenches to the wall. These came in the form of heavy duty spud wrenches. Previous to this I have only ever found one in the wild (the smallest one). They seem to be very rare similar to the heavy duty box ends.
Here is the updated of the master sheet if anyone has any they are willing to part with to fill the final gaps.

No worries.Sorry, didn't mean to confuse - I have a Proto Tools "flying lady" socket board, and an Indestro Metric board for wrenches and 3/8 sockets

Nice work. Looks like it is coming together.I got my one real tool board I have up tonight.... proto la Flying Lady doe and dbe board. It is about 1/2 the width of the other real boards I have seen so maybe this was meant to be a counter “jobber” one ?? Real McCoy next to my expanded modern version. Paint was starting to flake due to exposure from the years so I coated it in a semi gloss clear varnish to stop any more paint loss! Filled a bunch of other boards as well with their designated tools. More on that tomorrow

I'm confused. By "real" you mean original? What are the others? Modern boards that you put pegs in and vintage Plomb/P&C etc stickers/decals on?I got my one real tool board I have up tonight....

Well done, Smoke! Very convincing.
Also helps explain why nobody from the P&C Preservation Society Police Dept showed up to write you a citation for the notch you took out of an original artifact to make room for that electrical outlet.![]()
I picked up one of those WF- letter "suffix" tools at the flea market this morning. This one is a "K" on a cad-plated 3/8-inch drive WF-23 speeder. Ironically, from the same guy with the USAF cantilevered toolbox I pulled the 9/32-inch drive tools out of. I had missed it last Friday!

Wow, I admire your walls of Plomb goodness you guys. So who around here is going to create the Ox-wall?![]()

I seen that and thought the same thing as well. It doesn't have any lettering and doesn't have the routered edges with the green paint.I don't think that is the real deal. I think someone beat you to the "i'll make my own Pvmb board" by a few decades...
I am glad someone here came away with it. I asked the seller as I thought it might be the ever elusive 7/8" drive Big Bertha but it turned out to be what appears to be a contract production. Very nice and the price was fair as well. Another rare ratchet for king of ratchet collecting [emoji2].Here’s a new addition to the ratchet collection, and an odd specimen at that. This is a 1” drive ratchet in a 3/4” body, but it’s shorter, only 16-3/4” long.
Part no. 5649-S B-202583 (has the 3/4 part number in it,5649) Definitely a new one to me.
I knew I picked up those Bonney male extensions for a reason!

Hey,I picked up these 1/2dr 12pt 5400-series sockets a couple weeks ago at a flea market. I think they may have been cadmium-finished, but mostly bare steel now.
All have the hole in the side except the 9/16, which looks like it was started, but not finished.
Definitely missing 7/8, 11/16, 5/8... also 3/8?
Also a 5347 13/16 12pt deep socket.
What time period are these - early 1940s?
I agree with that statement. There is alot more plain finish than Cad. I don't know if I have seen any non WF sockets that are Cad plated. What Roy said, but those look like classic plain steel finish to me, LS. And a very nice dark steel finish it is!!! I don't see a lick of cad anywhere. EDIT: Maybe others have had a different experience, but I have seen and have had way more plain steel wartime Plomb than cad.
Same for me.I agree with that statement. There is alot more plain finish than Cad. I don't know if I have seen any non WF sockets that are Cad plated.
That is an amazing set. Don't have any of them.I was lucky enough to nab a BIN online the other night for this unusual set of "universal socket wrenches". All are round "O" Los Angeles with 1929 date codes and 18" long. I included the excerpt about these wrenches from the 1929 catalog. Note that these are cross bar operated only. Set includes:

Plomb Los Angeles P12, 1/2 inch
Plomb Los Angeles P13, 9/16 inch
Plomb Los Angeles P14, 5/8 inch
Plomb Los Angeles P15, 11/16 inch
Plomb Los Angeles P16, 3/4 inch
