I recently found this wrench holder and didn't realize what it held until I noticed the variation in hanger spacing. There's a tab bent up at the back that's about an inch tall, with a few holes in it. Rather than drill holes in my box, I just tucked it in under the lid I rarely open. Since I chose to put the pebble combos on display, I figured I'd share the holder in this thread. 1/2" is the smallest size that will fit, the others are just hanging from magnets. The fact that it can be loaded four wrenches deep makes me wonder if it was originally part of a sales display.

no. it's a tiny conical-shaped spring only maybe 1/4" high fully extended.
somebody on here has parts and pieces for those things.
it would be the same spring as the current production 5449 Proto, so SBD should have them on hand.

Temu sells some small conical springs, as do suppliers like them. I’ve used them on 3/4 and 1 inch ratchets with success. Harder to find junk ratchets in those sizes. Conical springs fold into themselves when compressed allowing for a smaller mechanism.

That's new - in the past I've always been sent a kit.

Rebuild kits were always stocked and sent complete even if only one bit was MIA/Broken.

And a kit is far cheaper to ship than a whole ratchet. (man the 1" ratchet weighs 12 lb by itself)

^ I wouldn't complain about it myself. S-K just sent me a repair kit for a 1/2" drive ratchet - no hassle. SBD has deep pockets. They can well afford to give away the occasional ratchet to maintain that "customer goodwill" thing.

Decent plomb day at the flea market. A hand full of 3/4 drive sockets including a pair of Los Angeles sockets, one with the round O one without. Also a LA 3/8 extention and a 1214 combo.

Go to a thrift store, pick up an old remote control, pull batteries out, and you will find the correct springs.
