Two more dual marked wrenches arrived today from Todd (Twertsy). The well known chrome discoloration common to Plomb wrenches of the period is pronounced on the larger wrench.

A 1/4 WF-8 with war era sockets in an all inverted triangle box. The sockets are too tall for it.

And you would be correct. My lack of dexterity and a small bend in the latch had me thinking the sockets were hitting. They fit fine. Mystery solved. It was me. Again!

Here is an odd one. Here are 2 P series wrenches. They appear to be earlier versions of the O series as they do not have date codes. They do not appear in any catalogs I could find. Anyone seen any of these before or have catalog references? @MR.X ?

Hit up an estate sale up in Washington and scored a handful of good bits! I’m excited to see if servicing the 4951 makes it buttery smooth. I sold my last one in my collection reset recently and regretted it.

I've used mine before.

Of the 3 I have one (the first) was broken (Gear) but a rebuild kit fixed that...

This is the type of tool that gets 4-6 ft cheaters put on the handle...

Found this one in a bucket that contained mostly Model A tools and wrenches marked Ford.
Plomb 3140-S 1-1/4" angled wrench, appears to have a date code but need to remove the paint to be sure.

That is what the Plomb catalog calls a Hog Jaw wrench. Not easy to come by. I think they had 4 sizes and that is the most common one by what I have seen. Overall a very great find in the wild. I have only ever seen 5 in my years of collecting.

This WF-8 marked ratchet with the 9/32" anvil. Came with a couple of Snap On of the sane era and same size.

One of the Plomb items that came with my Ell handle was this WF-38 1/2” drive ratchet missing a screw and the detent piece and spring. The remaining screw was so damaged that I was forced to drill off the head to get it apart.
Once disassembled, I cleaned it up.

I have spare screws in the Bay Area to get it working again. I have seen a correct size ball bearing used with a spring in place of the missing detent so I may try that. I have a rusty non WF 5449 1940 version of this ratchet so this one may end up being used as a parts donor.

I probably need to stretch out the springs a little as it isn’t staying in its set position in one direction. Here are the two WF-38 ratchets together.

I received this 1” flare nut wrench from Roy in the mail recently.
Along with some other recent finds, a 7318-H chrome 6 point impact socket and an 8 point 1/2” drive 9/16” socket.-Don

3210/3211 pair at 13/64” and 15/64” openings
3215/3216 pair at 7/32” and 1/4” openings
3220/3221 pair at 9/32” and 5/16” openings
3225/3226 pair at 11/32” and 3/8” openings
