I found an odd one today.

Alloy-artifacts shows the same wrench, only without the plating... referring to it as a war-time example; but they do not explain the RANGER A.T. marking.

I found a few plomb wrenches today, including a 13/16 I "needed".

Seemed like a good time to check my progress on my combo sets. The pebble set goes up to 1" with no gaps. The plain set goes up to 1 1/8" and needs an inside draw of a 1230 and a 1234. Getting there...

^ Ooh, you have the elusive 1210 pebble! Nice. That's the last gap in my combo set.

Got a little box late last week at an estate sale, missing a few sockets but I have plenty of multiples. The thing I like the most is the factory socket rack, I'm not sure I've ever seen one let alone own one. Nice clean display you have there R-Olson. Some nice find on this thread lately.

I am jealous of that find. Looks like alot of goodies buried that one. What was the DOE wrench that took you forever to find on your Plomb set?

I had my eye on that box. I'm glad I didn't bid on it. It looks pretty nice.

My box arrived today that Jim was nice enough to let me win. It does look to be in good condition. I did a test fitting of my ratchet and it seems like it will fit.
The rest of the tools are 3 hours away but they will be united eventually.

Solid looking box Don. Still have yet to see the 3/8 drive layout box in the wild. Have a few 1/2 drive.

This is a box I acquired recently. Ive been keeping some of the random vintage stuff in it. Does anyone know what the item bolted to the door is?

I actually had a way harder time finding the 1212. I've seen plenty of plain ones, but couldn't find the pebble till I traded with a member here. I'll keep my eyes open for another 1210 for you.

Thanks! :) Funny how there are these regional differences in what's hard to find.

Picked these up today. Rope braided drag link socket and two single ended wrenches.

I dug these out for a photo opp. All Plomb and Proto LA.

Highlights include:
- 1" Big Bertha
- 3/4" drive Plomb (with original female drive gear the previous owner swapped out),
- 3/4" drive Plomb/Proto transition
- 3/4" drive Plomb War Finish
- 3/4" drive Proto LA
- Various 1/2", 3/8", 9/32", & 1/4" drive ratchets, breaker bars, and sliding T-bars.
- 1/2" drive Proto WF-38 ratchet
- 1/2" drive Proto LA ratcheting adapter
- 1/4" drive War Finish ratchet

I didn't bother digging out any ratchets from complete sets in boxes.

I picked these two items up today (along with a Proto LA 3/4" pebble ratchet in my previous post).

The wrench is a Plomb 1246, 1 7/16" combo.
The tool box is a small chest, 22" x 9" x 6.5" tall. The lid has broken hinges but for $20, I couldn't resist.

As I posted in the 2018 garage sale thread, I found a few Plomb pieces and a Proto screwdriver badly in need of cleaning. The punch was an early Plomb grind off.

Compasses do not work within 1/2 mile of Brian's shop.

I found a few plomb empire pieces at the flea this morning. A wood handled plomb screwdriver, a 1/2" circle u ratchet and a couple of proto combos. The screwdriver is actually the first plomb driver I've found. Not sure why they're so scarce around here.

They're scarce because you're within a 250 mile radius of Don!

I’m pretty sure that I’m not to blame. I did find an early pair of round O parrot jaw pliers at the Tahoe flea today along with some Proto items. The third picture is an eBay wartime 7/16” socket for my set in progress. I added the Proto ignition pliers to my car toolbox to go with the ignition wrench set.
