Thanks to a trade with a fellow GJ member I have a few more Plombs for the board and wall.
Here is my small grouping of right angle screwdrivers all different. Also a '32 rope braid.IMG_20191204_194512216.jpegIMG_20191204_194521049.jpegIMG_20191204_194524079.jpegIMG_20191204_194631720.jpeg

Rag: so a gear shift out in the shape of a Plvmb screwdriver handle? or maybe I mis understood?

how are you finishing off the wood? since i'm guessing you have a lathe I still have a bowl i made on the 8th grade wood lathe that has it's original finish I put on it while spinning on the lathe?

some guys dunk their wood handles in BLO for a few days then pull out to dry for a while (days or weeks depending on temp) and then shelac.

got any more pics and any pics?

Well I have the wooden handle done as I like to do them. Use a scouring pad to knock off the ild crumbly stuff them sand a litte with emory cloth. Then BLO on a rag a couple coats and let dry. This isnt a gear shift... but thats a cool idea for my 30 model A pickup! Im gonna look at the big flea this weekend for those two parts I need . Then the final assembly will comence!

I've got you covered, dood. Someone buggared up the drive end of this slotted driver, and the handle is a bit chunked up as well so it's pretty much toast anyway.

Shoot me a PM with your address and let me know if you want the whole thing or just the relevant bits.

RAG: maybe a front door or shed/garage handle?

ALL: for those of you wanting to shine up your wood handled tools do you have a wood lathe or shopsmith? have you tried spinning them on the lathe and using emery cloth and then maybe a rag with some BLO or shelac on it to make it shine?

here's a bowl I made in 8th grade wood shop (do they even have shop class now?) and the shine is still decent 50 years later and I use it to drop my keys and change in.

Thanks to a trade from Lugz I have added a 38 1/4" drive ratchet. Also stole this 2110 grease bar for under the cost of shipping. Such as odd bar. Not sure the exact purpose.IMG_20191206_175502339.jpegIMG_20191206_175511765.jpegIMG_20191206_175521427.jpegIMG_20191206_175529050.jpg

If you're referring to the purpose of the 2110.....
There's a 37 Herbrand catalog online that has a pretty good explanation of that type of grease pry bar's use (page 120). That catalog is full of useful information that some other cat's take for granted that the user would already know.

Cool stuff. Interesting P&C. I have to get a picture of the Proto set that helped me out many times with rotors and drums.

I was pretty happy with the Plomb tools I found today except for one sad amputee. The dual marked socket is the first one I’ve seen and I’m pretty sure that I didn’t have a 3/8” pebble combo. I also found a 3/4” drive extension but it missed the picture along with an engineer’s SOE wrench.

Harley: Rag just attached a picture so now take a guess.

RAG: VERY INTERESTING as Arte Johnson would say.

since it wasn't a door handle could it maybe be a drawer handle?

or a WAG Crowbar?

Here is the extension and engineers’s wrench that missed my earlier post. The engineer’s wrench will be headed to Roy’s Plomb wall of fame.

Found a Ranger A.T. 159 today. Was in with a pile of Canadian tools that obviously came down from Canada.

Fairchild sold a number of PT-26 trainer aircraft to Canada during WWII. They were powered by a Ranger 6-440 engine that used a lot of hardware with a 7/16" hex.

Since that opening doesn't match any Whitworth sizes, I can imagine that wrench saw less use up North than it would in the USA.

Here is the one I received from GJ member Shiftless. I also found a 3/8” drive speeder that I would have sworn was Plomb but is totally unmarked. Has anybody seen much unmarked Plomb or Proto?
