Here is the one I received from GJ member Shiftless. I also found a 3/8” drive speeder that I would have sworn was Plomb but is totally unmarked. Has anybody seen much unmarked Plomb or Proto?
-Don
I have a 1/2" drive one. The guy swore his dad bought it at Sears.

I have a 1/2 unmarked speeder I got from a guy who had a crate of them. Crate was marked sears. He would not part with the crate.

Makes sense. No matter how much I look at the catalogs some piece I never have seen hit this board. Have a good 2 weeks off. I would be itching to dig through that mountain-o-plomb. Hit me up if you need any set fillers.

I sure will! thanks! I love the rare stuff.. one of my fav things is the employee badge and service pins! On that note.. I wonder if any one has ever compiled a list of all the different set of Plomb tools there are. Plomb early stuff, Plomb LA, Plomb War Finnish, Plomb plain finish, Plomb Pebble finish, Plomb transition....ect.... theres a TON of entire Plomb tool sets to collect when you think about it. I need a huge check list I think!

I keep looking at them and am amazed how similar they all are. The 1/4" is ridiculous next to the 1"
I am so excited to finally find the elusive Bertha, I've been looking almost as long as I have been a member here. Super stoked!

I found my unicorn this morning! Big Bertha!
Way to go. I was very fortunate to find a wrench off of my wanted list. It is complete opposite side of the spectrum of the Big Bertha. Can't wait for a family shot. It maybe a board first!

I can't imagine the patience you have had. Everytime someone post a picture of Bertha I know it could be done but it still sucked. I am still searching for a blue Herbrand top box. Thankfully only one of those has been on GJ.
Pretty satisfying to knock one off the list though.

I hear you there. I looked for a year for a big bertha and finally found a super rusty one on the bay. I bought it and evaporated the whole thing. About 3 months after that I bought a second one for $20ish in good shape. I was gutted but couldn't turn it down at that price. Now I have 2.
Maybe you will run into the same thing.

I am still hopelessly still searching for a 3061 pebble. Going on 3 years for that wrench. Last one to complete the 78 pebble wrenches. But there is still hope as StormKing has done it before.

How many of you guys would be interested in a Custom Plomb Contraption build off? We could make a thread for it and have the finished products due on a certain date. Say Dec 24 or Jan1 or something. Give people time to gather broked plomb parts and peices and build something out if them. I know I have seen a few of yall post cut off Plomb wrenches lately. If theres interest Ill make a thread and get it going.

I wish I could but my free time is next to nil.
Thanks to a trade from Don I have another 35XX series wrench. This puts me at 5 of 25. These are hard wrenches to come by. Anyone have some of these they want to show off.IMG_20191212_212250696.jpeg

Exciting Day! It's another Full Set Friday. With an addition of a War Finish 8112 midget box end wrench (possibly the smallest Plomb wrench made) I now have a full series of 81XX Midgets, Stubbies, and Long Offsets. Here is a couple group shots. Last shot is with a Plomb 2-15/16" spud wrench. Fits comfortably in the opening.IMG_20191213_172628986.jpgIMG_20191213_172642859.jpegIMG_20191213_172649657.jpgIMG_20191213_172658361.jpegIMG_20191213_172753085.jpeg

Way to go, r_olsen! You’re gonna need a bigger wall soon.
Here’s my meager plomb finds from today. Ignition pliers and a p&c offset screwdriver.

I don't know. But I am guessing you bored out the driver handle to go over the thinned out shank of that former 1161, and you shaped the other end for something to go over that. But I have no idea how this relates to clue pic #1.

Just in case anyone else is having a hard time remembering the clues....

Pic 1 is his query for a new end cap and bezel. Pic 2 is the donor (from Unaiu). Pic 3 is Clue # 1. Pic 4 is Clue #2 re-oriented and zoomed.

Anything you might be interested in? Your Christmas stocking still has room.

I don’t actually have that particular one. I would be happy to take it off your hands, if you don’t need it. Thanks!
