I need some help here, I have some plumb tools and some plumb tool boxes, I can't bring myself to use them, I would like to sell them but I don't know their worth, mostly though I love these tools and want them to go somewhere they will be appreciated

alrighty then.... here are my tools and boxes, any info on them and pricing would be great, once again I dont use these due to the fact I have tons of other tools and boxes, I think these are cool as hell, my mother bought an estate and gave me all the tools in the pictures close to ten years ago, the guy who owned them prior moved from L.A. to Idaho. In the ten years I have owned them they have just sat on a shelf so I can look at them, they need a good home and after reading all your post I believe I can accomplish that.

Hey, don't let these guys take advantage on the price. Put it up on ebay and you'll be amazed at what you can get for those Plomb tools. The tool box alone is worth big bucks to a collector. Hey, how about talking to me; I'm a collector and will give you a fair price for the box.
I dont want to e-bay it, seems less personal, its not just the money, some guy bought these back in the 30ies I assume, they fixed his families hard times and he must have loved them due to their condition, so lets talk cruiser... why is it you enjoy plomb? I am a snap on fan because when I was as young as I can remember my uncle used to come fix our washer and my mothers car, so to me snap on tools were like magic wands he just stuck in the issue and wala! fixed! sounds corny but still to this day I see magic in these tools

DANG! what a great link Frank! if ya like plomb stuff you all need to have a look at those catalogs. I was able to find the big box in catalog 18a on page 10 #9990 master tool set. didn't find it on e-bay though

Your box in my opinion is worth more than $150 by itself. It has very nice paint for its age and intended use. I am not a Plomb collector but if some more pictures backed up it's apparent condition I would think $300 for the box itself would be reasonable. Are those screwdrivers all marked Plomb too? I have never seen one in real life LOL. I just find wrenchs and sockets and ratchets.

Great looking box, but be warned, if you spend too much time on here you just might decide to keep it
must be where people got the idea to use screwdrivers as chisels, those flat heads have impact caps for really tough screws =)
That tool box is pretty sweet, and the screwdrivers too, I've never seen any of their tool boxes or really anything other than ratchets and sockets.

No advanced. Did a search for Plomb. Clicked on show only completed listings in the resulting window. Then typed 'Plomb box' in the search field at the top. The box listed above came up 17 listing down.

Plomb boxes and chests are rare, examples in decent condition with logo intact like yours are reallydamnrare. And all Plomb screwdrivers are rare, decent ones are beyond rare, a whole set that has never been beaten to death by an idiot is a FIND.
Plomb ratchts and handles and random socket collections are all over the place. You have a bunch of things that are missing from most Plomb nuts collections...I have no clue on actual value of those bits but would likely be interested if you come up with a number...
Go searching for Plomb stuff, and you will find stacks of ratchets and handles and flat wrenches...but the stuff you have is actually scarce

The chest is worth decent money. I would think $200-300, but it could go for more one ebay. Then again you'd lose a lot to ebay and paypal fees.
The smaller boxes usually aren't worth a whole lot, but yours has the original socket trays. I've never even seen those outside of the catalog. They should add to the value quite a bit.
Screwdrivers aren't usually worth much individually, but a good set like that in very nice condition could be worth good money.

Thanks to everyone and their advice, I have sold everything for a fair price I believe and along the way met a few great people. The knowledge I have gained is worth more than the monetary gain by a long shot, all has gone to Gj members and I am sure they will be cherished. Thanks again to everyone! Lol. I did keep the breaker bar for the memory
