Anyone use the plug in neutral panels for AFCI and GFCI breakers? Do they work well or are they more trouble than they are worth? I will be replacing the panel on my house and would rather not have to deal with the pig tails. Do they offer ground bars that will go the entire length of the panel so that the ground can be kept close by as well?

I know Square D has them but I haven't seen one in person. If I go with Square D it will be the QO series. Any other brands worth considering? I have never been able to compare the different panels up close.

I have seen single pole plug on neutral breakers however I have not found any double pole breakers for them. Do they make double pole? I was planning on MWBC circuits. The other option would be to find white wire with a tracer to id which circuit the neutral wire is for. Most of the wiring will be in conduit however I am trying to keep the amount of conduit down.

I haven't seen anyone using them. it's really more of a gimmick than anything else. I would assume that there are two pole breakers for them both in gfi and non-gfi. I am not aware of any two pole afci breakers. you would have to look at the catalogs and see what is actually available for them. be prepared for them to be special order items. as far as quality goes, there really isn't much danger in any of the big name makers of equipment, they will all function well.

Ive used the sq-d homeline panels in houses for years without problems,I use the qo panels for commercial jobs.
The only internal difference between homeline and qo breakers is the visa trip in the qo's,thats a big price jump for a residential project.:)

I've used them a couple times, basically the same as old except it saves you a wire from going to neutral bar. Only thing I don't like is the extra space the breaker takes up. Sooner or later all panels will be made that way since they are forcing arc fault breakers for every circuit you run sooner or later

Murray (Siemens) makes double pole AFCI breakers for use of MWBC's. However, all I have seen are the 15A and 20A variety.
