I am trying to figure out how to plug my bathroom drain line for plumbing rough in inspection. The sewer line comes out from under the footer at about 30" deep to a clean out before going into the new septic tank. At my house several years ago I used an air bladder at the clean out when adding a bathroom, but the clean out was just below grade. This clean out has a 30" stub from the sweep to the cap. I kind of expected to see an bladder on a stick for this application but have not seen anything.

What do real plumbers usually do
make my own air bladder on a stick (maybe)?
dig it up?
climb down into the septic tank (if I can fit)?

When i worked for a contractor we had various sized inflatable ball with chains and long fill hoses, so they are available.

Test ball is what you seek. You can find them at a plumbing supply house or maybe even HD or Lowes.
