My house has a variety of water issues. The hammering is done with now.
We put in a new pressure regulator and now the pressure is a steady 50 PSI.
Was all over the place and much too high.
What it didn't solve is the crazy loud water "flow" sound when using the shower. Its so loud in the adjoining room, it would be hard to sleep.
I do have a frost free hose bib that has failed that must be near (and/or attached to) the same shower pipes. Wondering if that could be the cause of the water flow noise. Disrupted flow? I will find out soon enough as it will be replaced. But.............. should I look elsewhere? Maybe insulate, as I have to open a wall to access bad valve. Hate to not fix this!
If it matters we have a slab on grade home, water comes from attic. Only has noise from master bath.
Point me in the right direction(s)
