We will soon be hooking up the heat source for our in-slab heat in the new shop. We are using a one zone system with an electric boiler (Argo 24 KW).
My heating guy normally works with oil or propane boilers, and is planning on having a recirculating loop with it's own pump and a mixing valve, like the oil fired system we have in another building. I have been reading that with an electric boiler it's not necessary for this loop and a mixing valve especially with a one zone system. Any thoughts? We already have the parts; will it hurt or waste any energy to have these parts if they aren't necessary?
Thanks for any input.

You need to refer to your installation manual and follow Argo's directions....this is a primary/secondary type boiler and a piping diagram is provided. If you don't have the manual, go to Argo's website and download it like I did.Boiler piping principles are the same regardless of the energy source(oil, gas or electric)They know their product better than anyone and if you deviate from their directions substantially it can void the warranty:thumbup:
