Hey guys, I ordered this beehive style drain for my Kohler Branham urinal and I’m not sure what to use to fill the gap around the PVC. Thanks!

I admire you greatly!

Is this for your shop or ??

My BIL built a detached stick built 30x40 with a separate office and half bath. I encouraged him to install a urinal but he said no way. :(

Is there supposed to be a "T" type pipe, like on a sink drain, that goes there? I have never actually looked at how a urinal was plumbed.

Yes, as you can see I have the last post on that plumbing forum. The link to the sealant used has expired so not sure what he put over the oakum.

The urinal is for the bathroom in my barn.

I would think it should have the rubber ring just like a floor drain in a shower? The ribbed style that would slip over the pipe and pack into the metal fitting. Like this one:

https://www.menards.com/main/bath/bathtubs-showers/custom-showering/shower-pans/fiat-quick-drain-connector/qdc4000/p-1461693419822-c-5881.htm?tid=-5280288052177432300&ipos=91

That’s what was supplied for my reinforced plastic shower drain pan (tile walls) that I installed over a crawl space about 15 years ago. No leaks yet.
