I think we could use a plumbing forum. We have an Electrical, HVAC and a Flooring forum but nothing for water. I know most of us have built or are building our garages with sinks, hoses, bathrooms, etc. Some are using hot water heaters. Also for drains in the floor or for your sink and bathroom. Info on putting in dry wells. I could go on but you get the point.
Other than that the site is awesome thank you very much.

We need someone with some juice on this site to help us out. You really have to search for info on plumbing your garage on here. It would be so nice to have a section to go to.

I agree. I had to post my plumbing question in Free Parking. Maybe just add plumbing to the electrical section so we can search it??

Any movement on this request? It seems to be a somewhat popular one in this forum. Thanks!

Concur; it's an excellent idea. Considering the knowldege that's been shared when questions have been raised about plumbing air systems in members' garages, I'm sure there's a lot of expertise among the members.

Thanks,

The purists say 'nay' on adding it to electrical, but HVAC-R would be an awesome place or put it by itself as many have suggested (going way back to March).

Yep, another + 1 for a plumbing section.

I posted a question I had a while back (and for which I got some helpful answers:thumbup:) in the general section.

Plumbing is or can be a key part of any garage or shop.

I also think it would ne a great addition to the site. My garage still has a couple drains from the old bathroom, and drain and water pipe from the kitchen when it used to be a guesthouse, would be nice to get some ideas on how to go about hooking it all back up again.

Would be nice. As soon as the ground thaws I'm running water out to the shop.

Very few garages have plumbing in them of any type, rare to even see a hose connection in the average garage shop type set up. Rare here to even see a floor drain, and illegal unless correctly done.

When I was an electrical apprentice about 100 years ago, the plumbers class was held in the room next to ours. Our instructor would joke that there are only 3 things you need to know to be a good plumber.
1. **** runs downhill
2. Payday is on Fridays
3. Don't put you hands in your mouth
We all got a good laugh out of that, but since then, as I have worked in industrial maintenance for many years, and have had to stumble through many plumbing jobs, I have grown to have a greater appreciation for plumbers and their skills.
**** crack jokes aside, I think a dedicated plumbing section to the forum would be a great asset.

You should deduce from my comment that I have been diligently answering any and all questions that I see on here in regards to plumbing. 90% of them are within the home proper and not the garage itself. That being established, there are only about 4 per day of actual plumbing related questions even with the entire home included. I would think that this does not support the establishment of a separate plumbing forum here. FWIW just my observation, Sorry.

The saying is:

**** runs downhill
Payday is Friday
Assholes are plentiful
