Plumbing - over-securing pex?

I am going to add a water softener and whole house water filter soon. I plan to build a three way bypass each for the filter and water softener. The entire house is plumbed in pex, so I plan to continue this way. I planned to mount everything to a board, which I will attach with tapcons to the basement wall behind the water softener. I see some ball valves with ear drops, would these be okay to use, or would this cause problems with expansion and contraction by over-securing everything to this board?

I don't see any problem with them. I would try to keep all the fittings aligned (use or make stand offs) so that there is no side pressure on the joints (crimp connections).

You don't need the ball valves on either side of the whole house filter - you buy them with a bypass valve. I would use Unistrut and Hydra-zorb clamps.

My son mounted part of his pex to a board and to a cement block wall. He used Read Head Poly Set fasteners to fasten the board to the wall.

My water softener came with the bypass system built in, making the bypass system I built redundant. Check out the WS before you build your system.
