Plumbing question

Hi guys quick question. So I'm an industrial mechanic by trade but not up to date on plumbing as I should be, when moving this weekend I noticed as I was hooking up the supply line to my refrigerator my stop valve rotated on the copper pipe it's connected to, but didn't leak! Can anyone tell me what kind of fitting this is and whether or not this is normal? First time homeowner here so I'm excited but also slightly antsy about small things such as these, thanks for your help!

It looks like a compression fitting.

push to connect or ptc as jb said a common brand is Sharkbite

That is a push on fitting ,it is normal for them to be able to rotate. No worries.
