I came across this Plvmb tool mobile/top box on ebay. Never seen this style of toll mobile with the bottom edge flared out in art deco style. Any of you guys ever seen this? Don't know it is worth what the guy is asking but it sure is rad! I would not mind having it in my garage :)

Here is the link since I don't know how to post a picture link from ebay

Smoke: it does have that very cool look going for it. i really like the skirting at the base of the bottom roller probably hiding the casters. I was so busy looking at the box that i forgot to check the price, but whatever the price is if you are able to restore it i'm sure it would be unique and not many around like it.

OMG: i just saw the price. I know i wouldn't pay that much for it, but i own too many old boxes already.

Yeah, I saw that it was a tool mobile and immediately thought  but then I saw the price and thought the current owner may be holding onto it for a while at that price. I am thinking $700 tops including tools. I am a pretty ******** plvmb guy but even if I had the money would be no where near that paying that!

He could just be testing the market so save his name as a favorite seller so you can get an email when he lists it again if it doesn't sell. it is interesting and there are a few Plvmb tools there i haven't seen yet which could add to your collection and the value.

Did you see the box FJ posted over on the vintage toolbox thread? he just posted some before pictures and that box should have it's own thread. it's a Snap On, but not a common one.

i know true collectors like to get the full matching everything, but I'm of the school of buying the higher quality of the brands of that era and while Plvmb seemed to make awesome tools. I've seen and touched their toolboxes and they are not as nice as some of the other brands of toolboxes I've seen and own.

good luck
