I don't need a full-on nail gun, just something for brads and the like. Any recommendations from you guys? I'd prefer to use Amazon Prime if possible.

Thanks!

If you mean the 18ga brads, there are many brands. I most often use a Senco, an older model.

I have also used Senco nailers in various models, depending on what I am doing. Ive been very pleased with them. I have older ones, not sure on what the newer ones are like. The Senco SLP20 is a favorite of the ones I have. I use this one the most.

What is a "full-on nail gun"? If you are wanting a full-on nail gun in 18 ga then I would suggest Hitachi. If you do not want a full-on nail gun then go with needle nose pliers and a smooth faced hammer.

I use my $15 HF 18g brad nailer on a regular basis and never have had an issue or jam. I have been thoroughly surprised with it.

I bought a refurbished Porter Cable from woot.com when they had them for sale.

Excellent product for the cash.

I've owned many trim nailers. 18ga 2" Hitachi is the best. Overall Hitachi tends to make widely regarded nailers. For occasional use, you probably won't notice a difference.

Porter Cable here. Came as a brad nailer, finish nailer, hose, and pancake compressor kit probably 10 years ago.

It owes me nothing.

Unless you plan on using it commercially, an expensive brad nailed is a waste of money. They spend most of the time under the workbench, but sure are handy for the 2 hours of annual use they see.

Bostitch works pretty good, and we use them on a daily basis, just make sure to oil daily

Most of the new ones are non-oil. They also get poor reviews on Amazon...I don't think that's a coincidence!

I have an older Bostitch SB-1850BN that I bought as a refurb and really like it. They're still available as such or used.

For those who use the HF one, what brads do you use? On the occasion when I need brads, I'll be going to Lowe's because HF is over an hour away. I need to know which brads to buy locally.

I like Hitachi (older models) too, but we shoot thousands upon thousands of brads & staples per year. for average homeowner use probably anything is fine. just don't buy the combo stapler/brad nailers .

I think the last ones I bought were craftsman brand, but any brand will work as long as they are the right size I dont remember what length mine take. I'm thinking 1 3/4 or two inch. I checked and I have porter cable and craftsman and it shoots 5/8 - 2in.
