Everyone,
This afternoon I installed some crown molding in one of the upstairs bedrooms, using my Bostitch N60 I drug out of the trash a few years ago. It leaked air and needed a new trigger valve, and now appears to need an O-ring kit as well (leaking out the exhuast).
Anyway, I noticed that the nails end up sticking out about 1/8". I'm using 2-1/2" long 15 ga nails, going into (as far as I know) plaster covered with a 1/4" sheet of drywall. For now I'm going back and hitting them with a nailset to sink them in enough to use some putty on the holes.
The compressor's regulator is set at 100 psi, which is the max for the gun. I'm using 1/4" poly hose since it's nice and light, either 35' or 50'.
Any ideas? Only other time I've used this (or any other) gun was messing around in the garage on a 2x4 to test it out, and don't recall this happening.
Thanks for any help-
Brian
