I am working on a solidworks model based on a el cheapo campbell hausfield 1/2 impact.
Female fitting which comes already installed on the air tool (male fitting threads into this fitting). Threads aren't making ANY sense. Did go to ACE to get a idea of thread size after metric pitch gauge didn't match, but 1.5 metric pitch was close, and purchased standard TPI gauge.
Heres what I got:
External Threads:
Major Diameter: About .663"
Minor Diameter: .597"
18 TPI seems to fit the best but 1.5 metric pitch is close
Internal Threads:
Minor Diameter:
About .597"
18 TPI seems to fit the best but 1.5 metric pitch is close.
Whats the deal here? CHs manufactured with oddball thread sizes in China?
Anyway anyone experienced with threading and knurling on solidworks? Could use some pointers. Thanks!
