Pneumatic hi-flow coupler question

Do the Milton hi-flow couplers have a valve, or do they get extra flow from a larger bore? If you disconnect a tool from a pressurized air hose, will the hose end keep blowing?

they are quick connect designs. the bore on the fitting side has a larger bore. all your fittings have to be hi flow or else it wont work (universal fittings)
