Interesting design, i have a right angled impact by Mac, the same as the version by Proto.

That looks more like a standard stubby with a much longer handle.

I use mine pretty often.

Yeah it kind of a cross between impact ratchet and wrench with workings being of wrench origin .

Looks useful, ideal for carrier bolts etc, 400+ ft/lbs useful and expect dynamic 130-140psi at the tool it up around mid 400 .

Nano air tools are big player for me, use them daily as massive game changer and time saver on modern cars, light trucks and light farm equipment and these modern high torque quality tools are super low price, can afford more than 1 no bother .

Eric is one of the few tool youtube channels I enjoy and watch regularly. Cudos to Astro for finding who I would consider the perfect brand ambassador. I'm surprised more companies aren't trying to send him more products.

Pin-less universals are obviously still in the final stages of R&D, but our goal for these is to finally have lifetime warranty sets of these on the market that don't cost an arm and a leg.

Eric O. is pretty high on OTC, but he has switched to Astro for a few things like ball joint press.

"Back in the day" there were SO MANY TIMES I would have given my "eye teeth" for that disc/drum puller !

What the heck is going on here? When I click the link I get a video for Chevy equinox front brakes. And when I google the onyx 1838, or 1832 which was also posted, absolutely nothing comes up related to tools.

Maybe my wife blocked all tool related material on my phone so I dont buy too much for myself for christmas.

Are you guys considering making impact swivel extensions kinda like the new gearwrench x core or steelman's 1/2 drive to 3/8 swivel

SMA has had a pre-market prototype for testing. It's not out yet.

1st is 3/8th drive, then 1/2" drive, and if those do well enough yes

Good to hear, I would purchase the steelman 1/2 to 3/8 swivel but their warranty made me think twice, living in Canada and having to send in a broken tool to the US is a little to much

I sent him a comment a while back asking him how high his air pressure was set at. Replied 165.If the tool lasts 6 months, I will be surprised. Honestly, I do not think that it will be a large selling item.Handle is to long. It limits the movement of the head. In a tight situation you may want to go back to the older model.The air selector lever is now to far away for fast easy one handed selection in a one handed situation. What about balance? The longer handle now makes it appear top heavy. I am not shooting the tool down,rather simply making an observation. JMO,Ken

^ My air tools some which are AP see dynamic air pressure of 120psi to 140psi and doing fine daily use after many years ...
I can see some usefulness in the impact wrench design, would like see a adjustable length handle on that design so it more adaptable to odd roles it get used in, more beans be useful too but that gonna be hard achieve with that head size .
Astro air tools are very well priced so even if not a daily main impact it good option for speciality scenarios ....

165psi when static will probably not be far off 125 when actually flowing.

Depending on his set-up, you always loose a bit.

That impact should have a button that locks the anvil so you can use it to break nuts loose. Sort of like how the M12 ratchets can be used like a manual ratchet when it doesn't have enough "beans" to get a nut started.

My mistake. I clicked on the video, without sound, saw that it was for a brake job, when I assumed it would be a tool video, key word '***umed', and just closed off of it. If I actually read more of the thread I would have seen that it was still a prototype and not read for purchase as well. My mistake. Reading comprehension not my thing I guess. :headscrat
