Anybody have experience with these refrigerated air dryers? I can get one pretty cheap that flows 40 cfm. Can they be mounted outside? Best way to get inlet air temp below required 180 degrees? I see guys here use automotive coolers out of the heads. Best?

I have one. Its inside though a few feet from the compressor. It is hands down one of the best investments ever for my shop. I have ZERO and I mean ZERO condensate in my airlines through my 35x45 shop. I can run a DA or blast cabinet for hours and not have 1 drop spit out or anything in the droplegs near the air hookups. Mine has an auto blowdown, so every 30 minutes it take all the condensate it collects and blows it outside via a 1/4" tube. Love it!

We used to distribute them. I would buy one. But you shouldn't put them outside. Itll still freeze.

Aftercooler between head and tank, or buy a high temp air dryer.
