I was hoping that buying a Husky, made in Taiwan, dual action palm air sander would let me have a longer lasting tool but I guess not.

I haven't used my palm sander in a while but I always oil it before and after use, yesterday I went to use it and the damn thing won't stop spinning, if I place it down it keeps leaking air out the exhaust and shaking slightly but it never stops.

At $79 you would figure that this would be a slightly better item.. Guess it is time to warranty it.

Any idea what causes this? I am assuming it is the o-ring around the trigger that starts leaking air.

Sounds like the air valve/trigger is hanging up. Flood the tool with a product like
Liquid Wrench and let it run for an extended length of time. If this does not work, try removing the valve, clean and inspect for foreign matter and check the seals. Try using
Marvel Mystery Oil in your tools. I have had great luck using this as a pneumatic lube
