Hey guys I was doing my first set of direct injection injectors today. After removing them I found a small amount of dirt/debris in the injector bore. Instead of trying to find something to plug the injector hole and using compressed air to blow them out I was advised to use a vacuum. So anyone have any recommendations for a pnuematic vacuum. Also any other possible instances where they have been handy would be nice to hear.

Grizzly sells one that works fairly good. I have used them to vacuum slug out of valve covers a time or two.. They also work for cleaning out a/c drains that are stopped up although you need to watch were the air outlet is pointed any time you use one.

I have the Blue Point one. It works well for us.

I use it to vacuum debris from around intake manifolds and other parts before removal. Also, to vacuum around the upper fuel tank area before sending unit / fuel module removal.

They are handy to have, in my opinion. I would rather vacuum than blow crud all over the place.

I have used a solvent sprayer as a vacuum to remove small pieces of debris or fluids. Like Milton says be careful where the blowgun is pointed.
