Ok guys long time lurker, finally getting going on my project. Will have pictures to come after I figure out how all of that works. On to the details...
I am going to be building kit from web steel buildings out of oregon.
Building is 30x56x14
2 12x12 garage doors on the 30 ft side.
man doors on both 56' sides.
I have my dirt work done and my slab was poured on monday. Its a monolithic. I added reinforced pads so i can add a lift at a later date.
Not sure what else to say at this point. I will add info as it comes to me.

I am currently trying to decide on what finish to put on my floor. I like the look of epoxy but after discussion on here I am leaning towards ghostshield 8510 and thier densifier. This should be the more economical route as well as hold up to grinding and welding i plan to do.

I do have a question about my concrete. It seems the finish is very uneven, there are large white spots where the rest is a darker color. the slab was power troweled. these light spots seem to be where water pooled after hosing down the slab. it was very hot the day of the poor and the contractor told me to set up a sprinkler to keep her cool. Will post pictures soon. any ideas? or will I have to live with it?

I dont think so. it wasn't cured all the way obviously that takes days. the concrete had already been power troweled and was hard. most of the slab looks great its only small areas, approx 3'x3'.

The whole slab still has the chalky residue that needs to be washed off,but i tried scrubbing these areas and it didnt seem to help.

Ok so if this picture works here is one of the white spots on my concrete.

I think I may have just figured it out. The slab was power troweled and the low spots seem to be where the finish is off. I was thinking it was due to water, but what if the trowel didnt fully hit the surface in those areas? the other light areas are on the edges of the slab where it was a hand trowel finish. what do you guys think?
