Pocket Reference known as the Pocket Ref by Thomas Glover. This little gem of a book is sure to contain something for for everyone it has everything from weight tables ,metal tensile strenghts to airport abrevations, tire sizes to drill charts. Literally everything you could imagine. How many Gargage Journal Members have one or have seen one? I will attach a pic of book later.

I have seen it and heard it's praises, I'm just waiting till I can get one. I may break down and order one if It can't be found locally.

I've got one on my desk at work. I use it on a regular basis. I can find a lot of information in it quicker than I can find it on the web.

I have one on the top of my toolbox all the time. I got mine at Harbor Freight of all places. They have it on the shelves and you can use a 20% off coupon.

I bought mine off Amazon. Sometimes you don't even need to look up something, but find yourself skimming it. I found a table that tells you the element make up of a human body by weight and percentage, how cool is that? Apparently you have trace amounts of almost every element in your body (including radiated such as uranium).

Another company makes a larger one with EVERYTHING and ANYTHING in i, but instead of being $10, it is more like $100.

I have the pocket ref, the pocket partner, the CRC handbook of Chemistry and Physics, a few Audel's pocket refs, and I stupidly sold my Machinery's Handbook to a bookstore for cash. All excellent references.

They are availble on the counter of LOTS of hardware stores and EBay is of course your friend.

When my friends ask me "how the hell do you know that stuff?' I usually respond with 'how do you not?' and then gift them with the little book. I've given dozens of them to curious teenagers, mystified friends, friends of friends that I have explained thread pitch or such to.

I have an app called 'garage buddy' that fills the gap, but print is nicer for me.

Do we all know where hp and torque are always the same number?

5252 rpm? That only applies to V8's though right?
