Pole barn advice

New to the journal. I live in North Florida and currently in the process of bidding out a steel truss pole barn kit with installation. I have bids from two vendors on a 24 x 36 x 12 open pole barn. Will have aluminum soffit and gable ends installed. Can y’all recommend any installers?

The barn will be used to store two boats. I’ll set it up for electric and water before poring the slab.

Engineering is required ($550). What have other members payed for their engineered blue prints?

6x6 posts will be drilled with 2pc of rebar run through ea. post to prevent up lift and concreted. Any concerns with post rot encased inside the concrete?

I purchased materials from Surplus & Salvage in Chipley. If you build a standard size, they sell engineered plans for $350, if I remember right (my shop is customized, so I had to hire an engineer).

Their prices don't include labor, but they may have the names of folks who could built from their "kit."

I've been very satisfied with them as a supplier.

(Just noticed your post question. That's how the engineer drew mine, too. 36" deep, 36" diameter holes with 6 pieces of 24" rebar run through the post - 3 each direction. I dug the holes a bit deep then placed a couple inches of gravel then stood posts, then added a couple more inches of gravel before pouring the concrete. I figure this way the concrete won't form a cup to hold water.)
