nice work on enclosing the side's.

are you going to due the ends as well?

keep posting up the pics of your progress!

I am closing both gable ends and will wall the 12' section on the front side on both ends.

Here is a pic of my work from yesterday on the gable end girts.

Nice. What are you plans for the building? Shop? Storage?

So, half will be a shop and the other half will house 3 stalls. I came up with what i think is a really good floor plan and am considering a closed in loft on a 12x24 foot section at one end, and then a general shop/storage area.

Here is a pic of my floor plan. The dashed line is the 2nd story/hay loft. It will be about 7.5 ft high and allows me to utilize that extra space comfortable. I will probably close in the 12x24 ft rectangle on the "shops" gable end

How do you like those trusses? I'm thinking of making a carport with those, they just seem like they would be easy to construct with. My only concern would be birds siting on the trusses and pooping on my truck.

Theyre great, and I only paid 5000 for pole barn and install. They seem pretty tough and I have yet to see a bird using them to perch.

They held up during hurricane michael and I saw 85mph gust 50 sustained

Man that red really pops with color. Looks nice.

Thanks man! I bought this from a company that makes warehouse buildings, i guess they always run more than they need for a contract and have lots left over. I bought enough 24ga panels to wrap around a 24x48 barn two full times! They were eager to get rid of it and I got it for $1000. Super lucky to find that deal. Only downside is they are all 16' long and 18" wide.

I was afraid it wasnt gonna look like "barn" red but once it goes up i really think it looks good.
