Pole barn clear span question

So I am going to put girt up this weekend on my barn. its 24x48 X12'eave

Its metal truss so there is a lot of valuable space to be had with a loft.

My question is about trying to clear span 24' with 12' joist from the end wall to the 24' beam. I would like to avoid a center free post if viable. Thoughts?

Loft will be for a little storage bbut nothing crazy.

No concrete foundation yet.

Check the span tables for joists, but I think 2x10 would do for the floor joist 16" O.C.

For the beam, an LVL might be easiest. According the span chart here

you'd need at least 2 - 16" LVL beams sistered together. 2 18" LVLs would give a better safety factor. really depends what is going up there.

A 3.5x18 TJarallam beam with work, figuring 50psf storage load.

Loft trusses for a 224 foot span are common
You get apx 10/12 feet wide down the middle

I have a 30x12 loft in mine, I used 2x10x12s on 16” centers for mine.
