I'm about to put on the corner trim but am not 100% sure how to cut it. I've looked at pictures but they are all without overhangs. I have overhangs all the way around. Is it as simple as just matching the roof pitch on one side and cutting flat on the other side of the corner. Does the trim slide into the J-channel at all? Sorry for the basic questions but this is my first time doing metal siding.

Also any pics would be appreciated.

Ask 5 different guys & you will get 5 different answers. I am sure there is more then one way of doing it. I would take my time & drive around town or the internet & see how different people did it. I am sure you will see some good, bad & ugly. Then you can make your own "way" of doing it.

Since you have soffits then a clean cut at the top is in order. If you have room at the bottom, make your top cut and get it just right then cut the bottom to length.

Thanks guys.

Birdman I think that is how i'm going to do mine. Doesn't seem Like I have the room in the J-channel to tuck it in.

The corner trim and j are the same depth (on the ones i used anyway), you can see where I made a relief cut so the angle part of the corner will tuck behind.
