I have a electrical question about a new pole barn build. I am building a new pole barn on the east side of my property. On the south side I have a existing barn with an existing electrical connection from conduit ran from my houses breaker. I plan to demolish this barn. My question is can I break the connection to my old barn somewhere in the yard and reroute it to my new build?

In Theory that would work, but finding the place to make the connection may prove to be a problem.

How about a new circuit from the house?

Yes that is possible I was just trying to get around digging near my septic to lay the conduit. I suppose I could dig up old conduit up and relay new in the same trench to avoid any septic plumbing.

I had a similar issue. I tried like crazy to find the old wire underground, but I never found it. I lost track of how many holes I dug. I gave up and had someone do a new run of conduit from my house to the new building.

If you intercept the conduit, you can add onto it, assuming you stay under 360 degrees of bends between pull points. Then run new wire through the whole thing. I'd start by pulling the old wire to see how that goes.

How deep is the septic plumbing?
