To close in the end of my 72x32x16 pole barn, I'm thinking of buying two more 8x8 poles go on the end for supporting the framing. I'm thinking they will need to be about 22' long, with 4' of that in the ground in concrete, and I'll need to do this before I can pour my slab. If so, how would you attach them to the steel trusses? Thanks

Clearly they aren’t needed for structural reasons since the building is already standing. RR buildings on you tube sets a steel saddle in the concrete and puts their posts into it. Not sure what a post like that costs but what about a metal embed plate in the slab then square tubing angle cut to match the trusses and weld them top and bottom? To get wood posts 4’ in the ground, the hole will have to be a bit oversized and slightly deeper to angle the post in then raise it to the truss. Metal tubing would be easier but that’s what I’m more comfortable with. What tools and equipment do you have at your disposal?
